Daniel Finn

Daniel Finn turned 60-years young this year. He is known for creative, out-of-the-box thinking when it comes to getting healthy. This is his journey to the present.

After receiving a one-year welding diploma at a technical school (1982-83), he worked in skilled trades as a structural welder for seventeen years (1983-2000).

His employer was Hufcor, Inc. in Janesville, WI, manufacturers of modular wall systems for churches, schools, hotels, convention centers, etc. During that time, he earned approximately 60 educational credits and completed classes that included anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, physics, medical terminology, and physical therapy.

Why Did Dan become A Trainer?

He became a certified personal trainer with ACE in 1991, before beginning Finns Functional Fitness. In 1992, he began a corporate fitness center at Hufcor. He oversaw 350 to 400 employees for 12 years, fixed up a 2,000+ sq. ft. facility, purchased and fabricated equipment, and designed exercise and wellness programs.

In 2001, in addition to the fitness center responsibilities, Daniel became a production supervisor, overseeing approximately 50 employees in various sectors of manufacturing.

In February of 2004, he became a strength equipment product manager at Vision Fitness in Lake Mills, WI. His primary responsibilities were equipment ideation, design and development, quality assurance, and sales training. He worked there until April 4, 2008.

Accomplishing His Dream

In October of 2009, Daniel joined Spirit Fitness as a product manager. Their ownership headquarters is located in Taichung, Taiwan, and their North American headquarters is in Jonesboro, AK.

In February of 2012, he reached his dream of opening a personal and group training studio in Janesville, WI. In the Summer of 2018, the beauty of the Pacific Northwest was too alluring, so he moved to the picturesque city of Kirkland, WA, an eastern suburb of Seattle.
